Many years ago, I was at a spiritual direction session during Advent and my spiritual director gave me a card by Barbara Germiat about being a manger in our spiritual lives. In very few words it speaks great truth.
As we celebrate Christmas in a few days this a great reminder of how we are to be a receptive manger to welcome Christ into the midst of our lives. Hopefully an opportunity to slow down and ponder the beautiful gift of God's love and mercy entering fully into the midst of our humanity.
I want to wish you all a Merry and Joyous Christmas this year. May this Christmas day be a time to pause and reflect on the greatest gift of all, Jesus. Despite the craziness of our lives and world, God continues to walk among us and shower love and mercy down on all of us.
Peace, Love, and Blessings
Deacon Richard
